The FNF versions before v0.3 have better autosave features. When your game crashes before the v0.3 update, all you do is go to the "Song" tab on click on autosave.
I got an idea for you. If you go to Metadata under the Window tab, there should be a Save Chart and Save Metadata button. Once you click on both of those buttons, your whole song should be back to where you last saved.

No. is a safe game. I downloaded it and i got no problems with my pc.
All you have to do is click "more info" when the box shows up and click "run anyway"
