For anyone who's game keeps crashing on the week 8 content, you can access it through the chart editor. Go to the input options, apply a keybind to the chart debug, start any song, press whatever you key you chose, go to "File," then "New Chart," load whatever chart you want to play, and then "Test"
How do I play the new update? I tried to download it but it says the last update on itch was from 2021. I even tried to put the command tee log.txt | ./Funkin.exe in powershell and it still doesn't show the new update
Okay so, THE UPDATE WAS FIRE, i love it man, there is a bunch of bugs in the pc version, but i know and i have faith that you guys will soonly patch the game, but omg, the update is so cool, to everyone that want to play it, go to the newgrounds version, and eventually it will come the pc version, Thank you Funkin crew! You guys are awesome!
they removed the updated windows build to fix a BUNCH of bugs that were only in that version of the game (example: game crashes after finishing a single song in story mode)
At least for the website version, it seems like the "main" menu reactivates itself when you get out of a song in Freeplay. Consistently I'm able to press down twice, then press enter, and it'll both send me to the merch page and start playing the freeplay song
go to the folder you have installed the game, type powershell in the search bar (i dont know the name but the one that shows the location of the folder). after that it should appear a window called "window powershell" in that windod it should appear the location of the folder of the game, an example would be something like "c:/user/user/desktop/fnf" (yours can be different). then run the comand "tee log.txt | ./Funkin.exe" in windows powershell. it should run the game, dont close the windows powershell while you game
press win+r and type %appdata%, there, you need to find all folders that contains .sol files, these are the mods save files, cut 'em and paste somewhere else or just delete them
At least, we got Week 7, REAL Darnell week, and some new stuff in the build, but the bugs... they should've been fixed in the next update. Hopefully, the patch update or something.
It may have bugs, it may be missing things, but for me, Funkin' has been revived. Obviously they will update it, I think, because launch errors are normal
i think they stated sometime ago that they are not interested in the usual rating system other engines has (Because they are not making this some sort of competitive i guess???), which explain why theres only Score there. and the actual notes count on the result screen

Funnily enough its works fine under wine on linux no clue how that happened but yeah
Gonna guess that's how the programmer was playing the game so that's the version that got fixed right.
